"Prayer is designed by God to display his fullness and our need. Prayer glorifies God because it puts us in the position of the thirsty and God in the position of the all-supplying fountain." --John Piper, What Jesus Demands From the World
Our passion and vision for Restoration Community Church cannot be something so small that we feel it can be accomplished in our own power. It was Jim Cymbala who said, "Anything God can do, prayer can do." We are trusting in God to see the gospel planted, churches united, and a movement of his kingdom multiplied throughout the Northshore, New Orleans, and the surrounding region.
We invite you to join us in praying for a movement that can only happen by the grace and work of God.
If you would like to stay up-to-date on how to pray specifically with Restoration Community Church, you can sign up for our monthly newslette.
The Northshore has exploded in growth over the past 10+ years, leaving no shortage of people that we as a church can serve and love. We believe one of the best ways to serve a community is by participating in the community—understanding the existing rhythms, values, and organizations in our city and joining them in opportunities for partnership.
As we join in doing life with our neighbors and serving the organizations, businesses, and communities already in place, we know there will also be gaps and new needs that come to light. These are opportunities where the people of God can actively bend out the love of God so that more might experience the grace and renewing power of God. Because of this, we value partnering with both individuals and families wanting to join our Core Team (click to learn more) as well as with outside volunteer teams from our supporting churches that can help regularly engage the Northshore in various acts of service.
Some examples of how to participate through serving include:
Prayer walking
Park and street cleanup
Hosting and/or volunteering at community events
Local non-profit partnerships
Serving businesses and schools
Short-term internships
We have a passion to see God grow a church planting movement throughout the Northshore, New Orleans, and beyond. As part of that vision, we are praying for individuals, churches, and other networks to partner with Restoration Community Church in resourcing the mission that he has called us to here in our community.
A culture engaging, community responding approach to planting the gospel in the Northshore will require a unified partnership, empowered by the Spirit, among several individuals and churches. From the general cost of living for the planter’s family to the finances needed in order to launch a church with a plan to develop a sustainable and contextualized ministry in the community with excellence, the included insert provides a snapshot of Restoration Community Church’s current budget.
Our hope is that you would consider financially partnering with us in one of the ways mentioned in the insert to make our vision for gospel restoration in the Northshore and the surrounding region a reality. To partner financially with Restoration Community Church, please visit
